Say Cheese!!

Sorry for the late post, I have been wanting to do one every Monday and this week time just got away from me. So last weekend we took Megan (and Alison) to Chuck-E-Cheese. It was raining Saturday morning not to mention it was hot, so I spelled out C-H-U-C-K-E-C-H-E-E-S-E when talking to Chris about going and somehow Megan knew exactly what we were saying and shouted it out and said she wanted to go! So off we went, we left early to try and avoid the masses that would be having birthdays there that day. We had a cup full of tokens saved from our last visit and yet still came home with the same amount if not more! Megan of course had a blast, rode everything twice if not more and climbed around in the kid size hamster maze! It was a good couple of hours of burning off the energy of an almost 3 year old and Alison slept through it all, of course!
Megan is learning about outer-space in school this week, she has informed us that we are all going to take a ride in a rocket ship (it's purple) and she'll be driving and EVERYONE is going to go, we're not going anywhere in particular, just through the Milky Way and then we'll look around. So if you see a purple rocket ship in your yard with a blonde 3 year-old in the driver seat, hop in and go for a ride!

The countdown is on.....

Well the countdown to my return to work has begun, I have 3 weeks from today. In a way it's bitter sweet, I would love to be a SAHM (Stay At Home Mom) for so many reasons but I really don't think it's for me, not at this point at least. I will miss spending my days with Alison, the past 9 weeks have been amazing and she has already grown so much, from the tiny newborn that slept most of the day to the active 2 month old that loves to smile, talk and try to roll over! I have noticed the past couple of days she has been staring at her right hand, it's like she sees it and wants to find out what it is but she has no idea how to get it to her mouth yet...it won't be long though! She went for her 2 month check up last week and got her first round of vaccinations, of course it was no fun for me seeing her scream her head off and she certainly was not happy about it! She weighed in at 13lbs 2oz and is 23 and 3/4 inches long! I won't mention how big her head is cause it's off the charts the Dr has!
Now for my Megan update...glad we didn't name her Grace....this was not a very good weekend for her. Friday night she was goofing off after her bath when Chris was trying to get her dressed and she jumped onto her bed and hit the foot board with the top of her ear, it looks something awful still, all purple and blue. Saturday morning she was playing with my shoes and walking around the house and tripped and fell into the wall and bit her lip, then later when I was folding laundry she grabbed one of her sheets and put it on her head (covering her eyes) and went off into the dining room, and wouldn't you know it walked her nose right into the table. So if you know the story about me dislocating my shoulder, you can see she takes after me!

We're Bloggin'

Well I figure it's time we got on this bandwagon. I hope this will keep everyone up to date on what's going on in our little house here in sunny Florida and you can all watch as our two little girls grow up (and boy is it going by fast!).

Megan will be turning 3 in July and I think she is finally officially potty-trained, if there is such a thing, I am not sure if there is a certain point when it becomes official but I am calling it! We are so proud of her and even better she is very proud of herself, especially when she goes #2 on the potty. You see this accomplishment not only gets loud cheers and big hugs from mom and dad, she also gets 2, yes 2 jellybeans, and that's like winning the lottery to a 2 year old!

Alison will be 8 weeks old on Monday and I already feel like she's grown up so much! She loves 'talking' and smiling and we couldn't have asked for a better baby! Whoever said the second baby is more difficult was wrong (knock on wood)! She's a pro at sleeping through her sister's tantrums, and they are known for being very loud and frequent! She's not quite sleeping through the night yet, but we'll take the 5 hours she's giving us right now!

Being mommy to 2 little girls is a whole new ballgame but it's certainly a wonderful experience and I am so happy to be living it!
